The Regen Lab kit concentrates platelets to 1.6x. Most clinicians prefer 4 to 5x. Magellan can go to 8x. No formal comparison studies exist on ideal concentration. The Magellan system leaves a high number of red blood cells. This may cause increased inflammation which some clinicians believe is not helpful. I prefer the Eclipse system which can deliver 4 to 5x with minimal red cells from a 22ml tube and is FDA approved. PRPHAIRMD.COM
Thank you for your question . I truly believe that Regenlab or Eclipse or DrPRP etc can concentrate the same amount of platelets from 10 ml of blood . No difference at all . As was mentioned before , the most platelets can be extracted and concentrated from 60 ml of blood using MAGELLAN® Autologous Platelet Separator System.
There are multiple kits that are effective for PRP treatment. I would discuss the kits with your hair loss professional.
PRP kit such asregen eclipse only concentrate the platelets to about 1.6 times that of normal plasma. That's how they get so much "prp" from 10ml of blood. I prefer kits such as harvest or encyte that concentrate 60ml of blood into 6 to 8ml of prp, this is true prp. Regen will try to confuse you by talking about the percent of platelets captured, not the actual platelet concentration, or percent of the prp that is platelets. There is no way you can get more platelets from 10ml of blood vs 60ml. It's amazing a lot of doctors fall for this trick.
There are multiple stages in response to PRP injections. The first stage would be a decrease in hair shedding. Look at the towel and the drain and the shower and see if your hair shedding has decreased. The second stage would be an increase in the rate of hair growth. Along with this stage comes...
PRP does not affect DHT. Therefore, the best combinations are those which block DHT and are combined with PRP. Blockers of DHT include FDA-approved Propecia, off label dutasteride and progesterone. In summary, PRP can decrease or possibly prevent hair loss, however it does not do it by reducing...

PRP will not get rid of scars but it will help minimize the extent of scars. PRP will also help the hair survive the transfer and help the hair grow faster and be more resilient to falling.
Yes, prp can improve your hair loss. In my practice, we combine with progesterone injections to the scalp with great results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert to go over your condition and best treatment options. Best, Dr. Emer
This is not ideal. The dermaroller will not be able to get it into the correct layer for optimal results. The PRP should be injected into the scalp. In addition, microneedling can be used on top of that. There is a big difference between microneedling and a dermaroller...
