I have attached my current photos and desired outcome (wish pictures). I have two surgeons picked. Surgeon 1 is recommending either a 365cc HP silicone implant or a 400cc XHP silicone implant. Surgeon 2 is recommending a 400cc HP silicone implant. I am currently a full B cup measuring between 11-11.5 BWD. Is there a significant visible difference between 365-400cc? I am 24 y/o; 5'4" and 114 in contest prep as a bikini competitor and 125 in off season
Answer: HP vs XHP Thanks for your question! Personally, I think that the extra high profile tends to look a little pointy and over-projecting. I would suggest trying on implant sizers (if you are given that choice) to see which look you prefer. Best of luck!

Answer: Choosing an appropriate size for breast augmentation? Differences in final outcomes between the three implants you are considering will be very subtle and you are probably fine tuning the selection more than necessary. If either of your surgeons have implant sizers, you might try on the 365 and 400 cc implants and see what you prefer. A less exact option is the rice test. Your photos show that you are a great candidate for breast augmentation, and I would expect you to have a very good outcome no matter which of these implants you chose.

Answer: How to choose appropriate size for breast augmentation? Dear Dynamic61089, Thank you for your great question! Even for an experienced surgeon, it may be hard to decide between two very similar implants. I personally always use sizers during the procedure before inserting the implant. It takes a few extra minutes, but I have found it to be well worth it to be sure. This allows me to visually see exactly how that implant will look on that particular patient. Ultimately you have to trust your surgeon to give you the result that you are looking for.

Answer: Results The wish photos you submitted show large, high profile breasts. The 400cc HP or XHP will give you more of that look. Many surgeons have sample implants you can try on to give you an idea of how you may look after surgery. These may be helpful in deciding between the two.

Answer: Implant size Dear Dynamic61089, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
