Shaved mole removed 11 days ago (Photo)

Question

My mole was removed 11 days ago. It’s been healing from the inside out. It use to be a divot and now it’s just a small indent. Can I remove the bandages and allow a scab to finally form? I’m allergic to latex and some glues. The ones I can wear ,won’t stay on for very long as it is between my shoulder blade. Anyway the allergic reaction is becoming more of an issue than the mole itself. So can I let it scab over at this point?

I recommend scheduling an appointment with your provider.  11 days should be okay to leave the lesion open, however, it's important that your clothing is rubbing on the area.  If your body starts to scab the clothing will rub the scab and likely make it fall off to quickly.  After a provider examines the lesion in the office they will be best able to advise you.  There are lots of options when it comes to dressings so if they feel it's necessary to keep it covered they will likely be able to find something that works without irritating your skin.
