I have blepharoplasty scheduled next month and a consult coming up within next week for Microblading and permanent eyeliner. Would blepharoplasty at all change where or how they might want to do placement of the brow or eyeliner? Should I wait and do surgery first ?

Answer: Permanent eyeliner and microblading prior to blepharoplasty Having surgery on your eyelids will affect the appearance of your eyelids, so I would recommend having the blepharoplasty first and doing permanent eyeliner and microblading after the surgery. It is also possible the 2 non-surgical procedures could cause some temporary irritation or inflammation that could affect the ability to perform blepharoplasty.

Answer: Blepharoplasty and Microblading It would be best to wait until you are completely healed from your blepharoplasty prior to having the microblading and permanent eyeliner as the height, shape and contour of the eyelids and eyebrows can change after blepharoplasty surgery. We tend to subconsciously lift our eyebrows by activating our forehead muscles when our eyelids are heavy. After upper eyelid surgery we will subconsciously relax our forehead muscles resulting in the forehead and eyebrows dropping several millimeters. In addition the shape and contour of the eyelid itself will change with the skin removal. The microblading and permanent eyeliner will be more accurate if you wait until all these post surgical changes are completed prior to the treatment.
