And that is 1) your stitches are well on their way to being gone 2) patients in your boat often have no worse scarring down the road. Call your doc and ask to speak with him/her, it may be an issue of an office staff screening your messages. If just for your reassurance, you should be seen by your doc.

Honestly, I have never seen or heard of an allergy to suture.  Some suture causes more of, what we call, a stitch reaction.  In addition some sutures are monofilaments, like fishing line, or braided, like string.  It looks like the suture you removed is a dissolvable braided suture.  This tends to have more of a reaction than the dissolvable monofilament many of us use.Regardless of the suture the issue is related to blood flow and not the suture.  The incision line is the farthest point from the blood supply and can have issues due to diminished flow.  The wounds will heal with conservative management but you must see your PS. I never understand when surgeons don't want to see their patients especially if there are any concerns.

Wounds can at times break down some and dissolving sutures can spit some.  It may be more of a reaction than a significant allergy.  Conservative wound care and time should settle it down.  Antibiotics can help decrease the bacterial load and maybe speed healing.  Call your surgeon and ask to see him.  Once everything has fully healed if the scars aren't great in the involved areas they can be revised.
