Leaking incision on my left breast, 2 weeks post op, pinkish fluid no sign of infection. When will it stop leaking?

I had BA 2 weeks ago 400cc under the muscle. One week post op my left breast was leaking non stop (seroma fluid) with no signs of infection the fluid is odorless i had no fever and no pain, its been 2weeks my right breast is healing properly but the left breast is still leaking. My wedding is in 3 months and im panicking. my question is how long will it take for my wound to stop leaking and heal?

Its unusual to have a persistent seroma of the type you've described. I'd see my surgeon to be sure there isn't more to this. Good luck

In virtually all cases an incision from a breast augmentation that is leaking is open and therefore there is a significant potential for infection.  If the fluid is pink then most likely you had a hematoma that is now resolving.  As the clot breaks down it will turn the serous fluid pink.You need to get this taken care of as soon as possible.  The short term risk is infection.  The long term risk is a significant increased chance of capsular contracture.

Generally speaking, fluid leaking out of an incision this far out after surgery would concern me.  I would definitely talk to your board - certified plastic surgeon ASAP to see if they think re-operation might be needed to help resolve this issue.

I have to agree, you really,really need to get in to see your surgeon.  This is highly unusual to occur, and as surgeons, we know that if the fluid can come out, then bacteria can get in.  Please see your surgeon ASAP

You need to be seen by your surgeon to figure out what is going on.  When there is an implant involved, we are all concerned about an incision that has persistent drainage.  More observation and local wound care could be in order, or something more aggressive, like returning to the operating room might be the answer.  Only your surgeon can answer this.  This is a solvable issue, but one that should not be ignored.  Good luck.
