Fillers Work Well For Nonsurgical Lip Augmentation & Enhancement
Lip injections and lip fillers are one and the same procedure, to be distinguished from lip implants, which is a surgical modality.
As to price, this will vary according to what regions of your lip specifically need enhancement, which materials you actually need, and how much of each you might require. Aside from simply augmenting the body of the red lips and supplying balance to projection, proportion and pout, filler lip treatments can be used to soften "bar code" lines immediately above and below the lips; provide greater definition to the vermilion border; enhance or create the philtrum; define the Cupid's Bow; and soften marionette, down-turned folds at the corners of the mouth. The perioral region is subject to a great deal of mechanical movement that accelerates filler breakdown, so treatment results typically last about a year, Filler treatment of the perioral area and lips are advanced injection techniques and should not be left to the hands of novice injectors trained only to treat simple smile lines with ordinary fillers, like Restylane. Much of that unwanted "duck lips" and "trout pout" look can be attributed to inexperienced injectors. So, be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic core physician with expertise in treating the lips and ask to see his/her before and after photos. Good luck to you.
Lip injections are often performed using lip fillers to augment the lips. Best of luck with your decision to move forward.
The Low Down on Lips
Fillers and injections are the same and prices vary with procedures. Lip augmentation can be done with fillers, (Restylane, Juvederm) or with implants or fat. It all depends on what you want and if you want a temporary or permanent solution. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. Lip injections and fillers are used interchangeably. Injections/fillers vary in their length of effectiveness, although, fat injections are the only permanent fillers. Always consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
Lip Injections vs fillers
The norm is for lip injections to be done using a dermal filler such as restylane silk or juvederm. However, some centers use material for the lips that they claim to be longer lasting but is much riskier. Consult with an experienced and expert physician injector to understand your options.
Lip Fillers vs Lip Injections
Thank you for your question. Lip injections may be in reference to the procedure injectable fillers which are administered as injections. There are several injectable filler products used for lip augmentation such as Juvederm, Volbella, and Restylane Silk just to name a few. The cost and longevity of the treatment depends on what type of filler is used. I would recommend to seek a consultation with an experienced injector. For instance we have injectors on staff who are national trainers for Allergan the makers of Juvederm and Volbella. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Thank you for your excellent question. Lip injections refer to the process of lip filler placement, while fillers are the physical product being injected. I hope this helps.
What is the difference between lip injections and lip fillers?
Hi, Lip Injections and Lip Fillers are the same. I have performed many lip augmentation procedures using dermal fillers or lip implants for over 30 years. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty, the upper lip should be approximately 75 % the size of the lower lip for the lips to appear balanced. The lips can be augmented using a dermal filler or a Permalip implant for a permanent enhancement. Our average charge is $600 per syringe of dermal filler. Permalip runs about $2,500 for 1 lip and $4,250 for both upper and lower lips.
Dermal filers and lip implants offer far more reliable volume to augment the lips than permanent fillers or fat injections that are also associated with increased, unwanted, side effects.
Hope this helps.
Alica.. Fillers are injected into the lips, to augment them so they are the same. Options include synthetic temporary fillers, like Juvederm Ultra plus, or fat harvested from your belly or legs, which lasts longer. Prices vary... Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
