What is the difference between lip injections and lip fillers? What is the price difference? How long do the injections vs the fillers? How to go about finding the best doctors? Thank you in advance.
Answer: Fillers Work Well For Nonsurgical Lip Augmentation & Enhancement Lip injections and lip fillers are one and the same procedure, to be distinguished from lip implants, which is a surgical modality. As to price, this will vary according to what regions of your lip specifically need enhancement, which materials you actually need, and how much of each you might require. Aside from simply augmenting the body of the red lips and supplying balance to projection, proportion and pout, filler lip treatments can be used to soften "bar code" lines immediately above and below the lips; provide greater definition to the vermilion border; enhance or create the philtrum; define the Cupid's Bow; and soften marionette, down-turned folds at the corners of the mouth. The perioral region is subject to a great deal of mechanical movement that accelerates filler breakdown, so treatment results typically last about a year, Filler treatment of the perioral area and lips are advanced injection techniques and should not be left to the hands of novice injectors trained only to treat simple smile lines with ordinary fillers, like Restylane. Much of that unwanted "duck lips" and "trout pout" look can be attributed to inexperienced injectors. So, be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic core physician with expertise in treating the lips and ask to see his/her before and after photos. Good luck to you.
