I started getting lip fillers in 2005 and it developed a migratory log -a firm ridge of filler - behind my top lips. One side looked fine, but the other moved like a stiff bar and lacked soft natural animation when I spoke. Eventually tried hyaluronidaise to try and correct JUST the one side. I ended up with an empty pocket that now appears as a bubble and overtime trying to balance and fix it's become a mess. Also I have chronic swelling in the floppy pocket. Nightmare.
Jan 2023 got revolax filler but my lips were very bleu and swollen. Dissolved them 3x but the swelling wont go away and lips became uneven. Filled them with juvederm but didnt liked the result. Dissolved them again but they still stay the same in size. Doctor dont know what this is. Did an echo and they saw filler under my muscle and dissolved it. But swelling still wont go away. 1 week after my last session I waked up with an extreem swelling of my lip and the swelling never went away!
I had lip fillers more than 2 months ago and i have fluctual swelling of my upper lip. After getting the fillers, everything was fine, i just noticed, that i had more swelling than other people for much longer time, but my doctor said it was normal. The filler used was Juvederm. It really bothers me now, because 80% of time i have slightly swollen upper lip. The other 20% my lips look exactly how i wanted them. I take isotretinoin 30mg, but it should not be the reason
I received lip filler in January, 2023. The clinic injected 2ml into my lips. They were incredibly painful and swollen. Even after the swelling decreased, I had huge 'shelves' on both sides of my top lip, and the outer edges of my upper lip literally curled 'down'. The clinic claims they did nothing wrong, despite looking at my lips. I'm still reducing my lips. Do they look botched to you, or am I overracting?
Hi doctors, i previously posted here on the day of my injection as i was concerned about the swelling post fillers. Its been more than a month now and i feel something still looks off with my lips? i can still feel all the product in my lip and I've gotten asked numerous times why my top lip swollen I got mine done by a nurse injector. (I've previously had fillers done with very even, symmetrical results)
I received 1mL of Versa after asking an aesthetic nurse for only 0.5mL of Juvederm. I now deal with regular swelling even after 9 months has past. Will this ever stop? I also have Chrons and I am currently in remission. However, I still have swelling and it is usually close to when I need my Humira injection. Is the swelling related to the type of filler or just a reaction from my immune response? Will the persistent swelling cause any scarring?
I am going on holiday this Saturday and I want to get my fillers dissolved before I go. The only available appointment with my clinic was this Friday. I want to get them dissolved and the lady re assured me that the swelling should be gone by the time I go on holiday on Saturday. However I am concerned as I dont want to go on holiday with swollen and bruised lips. How long does swelling/bruising usually last after dissolving lip fillers?
I'm three months post injection (1.2 versa syringe) I've discussed with a dermatologist and my injector and everyone is stumped. Herpes culture negative. I've been on steroids and lips normalized and then swelling started over two days later. Is this dangerous to leave them in? Will my body adjust or possibly to a different brand? Is this a result of over filling possibly? I'm now on topical fluocinonide. Any advice please??
I had half of a syringe of volbella in early November. Since then, I have been sick twice, once with Covid and a very bad head cold. Both times, I had swelling of my lips that lasted a day or less. It went down without any intervention, but my injector informed me this can happen in some people when sick and is an immune reaction. Does this mean I am not a candidate for future lip filers? I really liked the results that I had, but unsure if I should avoid them now.
I had lip filler done over 8 months ago ( 1ml Restylane) I get random swollen bumps and lumps on my lips when I even just have one glass of wine, after a few hours it goes away. I'm just curious if this is normal to happen months after the procedure?
