I'm a trans woman that just turned 18 & I'm interested in getting a breast augmentation. I've been on HRT for 8 months & have developed A cups. I would like fuller, bigger breasts. However, I do have a wide chest/rib cage. We do have different bone structures than cis women. I fully understand this & how it may impact my expectations/post op results. That being said, are ALL surgeons open/experienced enough to give a trans woman implants.. or is there a special surgeon I need to be looking for?
Answer: Breast implants for you? Hello xochristine. I would say that most plastic surgeons are willing to help with MTF breast augmentation. It is usually a good idea to seek a specialist in breast augmentation and one with plenty of experience with MTF breast augmentation! You may have to travel to find the best for your situation. We get a lot of patients from New Mexico in Scottsdale each and every year mainly because Scottsdale is know as a plastic surgery hub for the southwest. The weather and the accommodations are really great too, especially this time of year. Scottsdale is also well known for their breast implants and has its own MTF center at Greenbaum. Make sure you see lots of before and after photos on the procedure and sizes you're looking for from your doctor. We find that traveling to Scottsdale is easy for most people and in the office we have information that can facilitate your trip. Best, Dr. ALDO.

Answer: Breast augment for trans woman The plastic surgeon that you select should consider your wide ribcage and select an implant shape that will complement it. Most board-certified plastic surgeons have this experience.
