Do hair transplant grafts grow straight after the surgery? I had FUE 10 days ago.

Question

I had a FUE hair transplant surgery on the front 10 days ago, what concerns me is that some grafts are growing while some of them are still short and do not seem to grow, is that normal? I have pretty much no scabs any more so I can see them very clearly.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.  Transplanted hair do not grow in a few days.

In hair restoration surgery, it can take between 4-9 months before you see any growth at all. This should have been explained to you prior to the procedure. At 2 - 4 weeks the grafts shred however the follicles remain implanted. At about 9 months post surgery you should have a follow up appointment with your surgeon to discuss the level to growth achieved.I would suggest going back to your surgeon for some clear aftercare advice and what to expect post-surgery.All the best

At 10 days after a hair transplant, you can not possibly know anything about the hair growth. These hairs will sooner or later shed. They are never a problem for new hairs that start to grow. Usually, there is a lag time between the time the hairs shed (2-8 weeks) and the time the new hair grows (3-8 months). IF for any reason, there is an overlap between the two, pay no attention to it for when the new hair grows, the old hairs from the grafts that may persist beyond 8 weeks, will eventually shed
