I was wondering how effective a beast lift is when skin has virtually no elasticity and a ton of deep stretch marks on top and sides of breasts. I also have allot of sagging.

Answer: Often elasticity is gone It's quite often in a patient who requires a breast lift that there is loss of elasticity of the skin. Removing the skin and reshaping the breast will certainly be an improvement on what you presently have. No breast lift can last forever and revisions are not uncommon so be prepared. I have 75-year-old patients go through this and are extremely happy. They just wished they had done it many years ago. Good luck

Answer: Breast lif with skin with poor/no elasticity Thank you for your question. Poor elasticity has a negative impact on the final outcome with regards to stability of the result. In these cases, the technique to be used has to be a glandular reshaping rather than just a skin lift. It is appropriate not to increase the heaviness of the breasts with an implant and should the implant be necessary for the loss of volume, a small implant is the wiser choice. Again, as the colleague has mentioned previously, a consultation with an experienced and board certified plastic surgeon, is the safe approach. Certainly patients who have the worst skin will have a less long result than someone who has skin elasticity. Certain times a small revision may be necessary. A good plastic surgeon who is experienced in these procedures will be able to reshape the breast at the same time as lifting it so that the duration of results will be longer.
