Something wrong with BBL? It feels almost like a balloon. 4 days post-op.

I am 4 days post op of bbl an my butt looks like this an is feels almost like a balloon with nothing behind it. Is this normal? Is there lots of fluid behind it,l? What are the blister from? Doc told me it was kemp but deff looks alarming

Thank you for your pictures and questions. These photos are concerning. The appearance of the skin shows significant trauma and also some issues with blood flow which has lead to blistering and sloughing of the skin. This skin is under duress and could eventually die if the blood flow does not improve. Do not mean to alarm you but this needs to be evaluated by your board certified (ABPS) plastic surgeon and if your surgeon was not board certified by the ABPS, then I suggest you find one who is ASAP!Good luck!

Sorry you're going through this. What you're experiencing is not normal after a BBL. It appears as though you have pressure necrosis of your skin which is what is causing some of the skin to slough off. This may have occurred because of the excessive pressure generated in your skin after the injection of the fat.  I recommend following up with your surgeon next week as you will require local wound care for this are to heal appropriately. Best,~Dr. Sieber

I would suggest you return to see your plastic surgeon as it looks like that blistering is from poor blood supply to that part of the skin and you will need to undergo some local wound care and close observation.

Did you choose a specialist for your BBL? There are a lot of issues with your BBL results including skin compromise and necrosis and a lumpy bumpy result from poor fat harvest and too superficial of injections of the fat. You are going to need some hand holding over the next month until healing is complete and unfortunately, you may need a revision in the near future.
