How soon can one shave after a TCA chemical peel?

I recommend following up with your practitioner about their protocol for shaving after your TCA peel. It does depend on the type of chemical peel, but once any peeling has stopped you should be fine to shave. Best, Dr. Emer

The peeling process after TCA can last from 7-10 days. Through out that period of time it is recommended to only use gentle cleansers and moisturize as needed. Sun exposure and products with Anti-aging and Retinol should be avoided while peeling. After peeling is complete you can go back to your normal regimen including shaving. Always apply SPF 30 or higher with ZINC and avoid sun as much as you can.

This would depend on the peel concentration, prep, layering, pressure and other factors- from 2 to 10 days. Once you stop peeling and your skin integrity is back to normal, its OK to shave, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
