When can I wash my face after TCA peel/TCA cross? 1 day post. (photo)

Question

I had a TCA peel today and also TCA cross on my cheeks. My doctor gave me instructions to wash my face at tonight with Cetaphil and apply a thick moisturizing cream. I washed my face about 2 hours after the TCA peel. Did I do it too early? Did I mess up my results not waiting longer to wash my face?

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

This peel is self neutralising, once it goes white, protein is coagulated, this take 30 seconds to one minute depending on the concentration. After that, you can place a moisturiser, and wash as directed. No harm done. My protocol is thick emollient to spots only 3 times a day for 6 days. No sunscreen to the areas as this can impair wound healing locally. HOWEVER, please follow your doctors instructions.
