I classically use a combination of fillers and neuromodulators to treat the corners of the mouth. There is typically some volume loss that accounts for this, and with just a little bit of Botox, Xeomin or Dysport you can relax the muscle responsible for turning the corners upside down.
Fillers for the downturned mouth can give some improvement but usually not as much as we would like. Your frown due to fallen eyebrows contribute to your sad look. This can be corrected with a good forehead lift sone by an experienced surgeon.
Adding a filler such as radiesse to the corners of the mouth can really change a sad or angry looking mouth into a happy one for roughly $650/syringe and lasts about a yr. Sincerely, David Hansen,MD
There are a variety of treatments available to help soften the appearance of downturned lips at the corners of the mouth. Dermal filler injections into the corners of the mouth and the edges of the lips can help reorient the lips. I usually prefer to use a softer, hyaluronic acid filler at these sites, such as Juvederm or Restylane. Additionally, Botox and other neuromodulators, when injected into the muscles that depress the corners of the mouth, will relax these muscles and soften your overall appearance. I would recommend that you seek out a consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and come up with a treatment plan that's best for you.
As the aging process progresses, downturned corners of the mouth inevitably occur. This can be improved non-surgically using dermal fillers and botox. Please consult with a board certified specialist who can assist you with improving this area of concern.
If fillers and Botox do not work for you or give too short-lived a result, a corner lip lift can give a permanent change to the downturned mouth corners
A downturn at the corners of the mouth is a common problem and one that tends to make people look sad. This issue has a couple of causes. Mostly it stems from the formation of marionette lines. Sometimes the muscles of the corner of the mouth can play a roll, as well. A filler can treatl the marionette lines and, when place appropriately, can redirect the corner of the mouth upwards. Botox can also be used to treat a muscular component to this problem.
Depending on your examination, steroid injections may be helpful for scar tissue in your lip after trauma. Some of these bumps may need to be excised, depending on your examination. Lip scars tend to heal well. Dr Joseph
Thank you for the question, and your photos. My bias is not to have permanent objects, (silicone, etc) in the face in general and the lips in particular. Your face will change over time, and typically what you put in may have to be removed. We have taken many implantable devices out of li...
