I would recommend trying a product called Juvederm first, if you liked those results you could something more permanent like Alloderm. I would strongly recommend doing a filler first to make sure you like the results.
Thank you for the photos.I would suggest starting with something temporary. A hyaluronic acid dermal filler can last 1-2 years. If you like the look, a permanent option is using your own fat. Fat grafting to the lips will plump them up and should be permanent. Sometimes it can take a couple sessions to reach the volume you desire. Also, I always stress the importance of not looking too fake or overdone. Make sure your bottom lip remains larger than your top lip. A larger upper lip is an artificial look.Good luck, and congrats on moving forward with lip augmentation.- Dr. Bryson G. Richards, MD
Thank you for the question, and your photos. My bias is not to have permanent objects, (silicone, etc) in the face in general and the lips in particular. Your face will change over time, and typically what you put in may have to be removed. We have taken many implantable devices out of lips. Some will do a nice job on the lip lift. It is a surgical procedure, so it must be taken seriously. My suggestion for now is to continue with the filler. Best to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Otolaryngologist, (ENT). They will help make a plan for you.
When it comes to volume correction, I tend to avoid permant and semi-permanent options, such as fat grafting and implants. As you age, your face continues to change, which can affect the aesthetic look of the implants over time. Although not permanent, Juvederm to the lips is an excellent & most practiced way of delivering volume exactly where you want it, while providing the most natural looking results.
Elma7, start with fillers; I prefer hylaronic acid fillers for the lips. Should you like this consider "Alloderm" implant. Their are more permanent lip implants but in my opinion they carry to many risks such as encapsulation and resultant stiff lip. Good luck!
Lip implants could likely give the degree of change that you seek based on your pictures and my past experience.
Loads of people doing them, but not many that are fantastic. Simon Ourian (Beverly Hills) was the person who used to do Kylie Jenners lips so probably a good place to look...
Adriana Lima does have beautiful lips. Without a before photo of you it is hard to say whether or not you will be able to achieve a similar look. Schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon and let the doctor assess your lips. Products such as Juvederm, Belotero, Restylane and Revanesse are...
Thank you for your question. Swelling is a recognised feature after lip fillers. Divrei if swelling can depend on a number of factors including the type of filler (high or medium or low density) injected and the amount injected. The first two days after the injection can be worse but begins to...
