I need help here, I don't understand what I am doing wrong, here is what I have done so far for the lumps and lines between my brows: - Botox, this is about 4 months old - Frownies I wear spf 50 everyday and try to not squint, I am not sure where to go from here...should I just pile on the botox? I got 20 units a could month ago and I feel like the muscle just got larger around where she injected...
Answer: Botox + Serums! Good evening!! I understand your concerns and questions about the treatment for the lines between your brows. It's great that you're being proactive about your skincare and seeking advice from a board-certified dermatologist! Here are some insights and recommendations: 1. Muscle Strength and Botox Units: It's essential to consider the strength of the muscles in the area when determining the appropriate Botox dosage. The lines between the brows, often referred to as the "11 lines" or glabellar lines, can be caused by strong muscles in that region. If you feel like the muscle around the injection site has become larger, it could be due to inadequate dosage or technique. You should discuss this with your dermatologist. 2. Sunscreen: Your commitment to wearing SPF 50 every day is commendable. Sunscreen is crucial in preventing the breakdown of collagen and elastin, which can contribute to the formation of lines and wrinkles. Ensure that the sunscreen you're using is oil-free, as you mentioned. This is particularly important for those with oily or acne-prone skin. 3. Next Steps: Rather than simply piling on more Botox, it's a good idea to consult with your dermatologist again. They can assess the current condition of your skin and muscle response to the previous treatment. Depending on their evaluation, they may recommend adjusting the dosage or considering other treatment options such as dermal fillers to address the lines between your brows. Remember that individual responses to treatments like Botox can vary, and adjustments may be needed to achieve the desired results. Your dermatologist is the best resource for guiding you through the process and ensuring you get the most effective and safe treatment for your concerns.

Answer: Corrugator This definitely looks like it is from the corrugator muscle. I would make sure that you had enough injected to that muscle alone and then see if you are still able to create that expression. It may take time/multiple rounds of injections before the muscle calms down but you should be able to get there.

Answer: Proper Use Of Botox To Frown Muscles Typically Produces Gratifying Improvement At least from the history provided, it would appear that the you simply need an appropriate concentration and amount of Botox placed into the bellies of the protruding muscles, which have become hypertrophied by virtue of the Botox previously injected into the regular frown muscles. If this is indeed so, this is quite a simple issue to address with gratifying results. You would be wise to make sure that you are consulting with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist injector. Hope this helps.

Answer: Need a consultation I encourage you to visit with an experienced injector near you for a consultation. You will likely have the best result from a combination of treatments. Botox will most likely help, but there may be other treatments to enhance the results.
