I had my facelift 6 weeks ago . I want to know when I can go back to the gym to do my lower and upper body resistance training. I specifically use resistance machines more than free weights. As far as my symptoms I still have tingling and nerve healing.
Answer: Lower Face Lift Thanks for the question. After 3-4 weeks your operation area is totally healed and yes you can do exercising and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.

Answer: Lower Facelift Recovery: When To Exercise? The time for facelift recovery depends mainly on the delicacy of the technique used by the surgeon. Combination of the surgery with other procedures can increase the recovery time however, this is what is expecting you in general: your facelift operation takes around 2-3 hours add 1-3 hours if fat grafting and upper and lower blepharoplasties and brow lifts are combined you will stay at the hospital for 1-2 days after which you will be discharged with no bandages or drains you will be seen on day 5 for removal of your stitches after which you can continue normally with your routine life your edema and swelling will be very minimal and bruising almost none with just the facelift operation however if fat grafting is performed, you will have more swelling that can last for 1-2 weeks be ready to go public in 5 days, but for a formal event, I advice to wait a month your final results will be seen in 3 months your scars will mature in a year In general I permit my patients to go back to gym 4-6 weeks post surgery. This time is however variable according to the operation performed. A simple mini-lift patient is allowed to start exercising 1 week post surgery. Hope this helps, Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey

Answer: Resistance Training After a Facelift Recovery time from a #facelift varies from person to person, but patients can generally expect to be presentable within three weeks from surgery. Patients should expect #swelling, #bruising, and #discoloration of the skin during this phase of recovery (swelling normally goes down after 48 hours; most bruising will go away within two weeks). The marks from a facelift are noticeable at first, but are easily hidden with a bit of “camouflage” make-up which our staff teaches our patients how to use. The #scars from a facelift mature within six to twelve months from the surgery date. It is during this time that the rejuvenating effects of the facelift will become apparent and the real result will be seen. Most patients who have had Lite Lifts™ feel reasonably normal within 2-4 days after surgery even though they are swollen. If you wish to do light office work, you may. Do not, however, do any heavy activities or aerobic #exercise for at least 3 weeks after surgery! Strenuous #activities can cause bleeding and swelling for a longer period than is necessary.

Answer: Exercise after lower facelift You should ask your surgeon, as everyone has different protocol for their patients. In general, I tell my patients they can start working out again 3 to 4 weeks after their facelift. When you do return to the gym, I strongly recommend you ease back into your workouts and do not rush into them at the same intensity as before your surgery. However, before you do resume exercise please check in with your surgeon and get a more precise date from him.

Answer: Return to Gym 6 Weeks After Lower Facelift? As others have noted, make sure that you clear any changes in activity with your Surgeon. With my patients, I expect that they stay away from weight lifting and major straining for 4 weeks after a Facelift. A return to cardio activity is usually acceptable at 2 weeks.
