Lymphatic massage to reduce swelling can be done as early as 5 days after liposuction.   For a more deep tissue or traditional massage, the skin is usually tender and will be a limiting factor to the massage and may cause swelling if it is too aggressive.

Tumescent liposuction under local is safe with great results.Recovery time is shorter and most can get back to work or school within a few days.   Patient most generally can begin to exercise and Lymphatic massaging the areas after a couple weeks.

We start a HIVAMAT massage treatment the week after the procedure.  It's likely it will be too uncomfortable for a traditional massage for 2-4 weeks.  A gentle lymphatic massage could be done at 1-2 weeks.  Hope this helps and good luck!
