Burning and pain after 6 weeks arm lipo

I am 6 weeks post op arm lipo and have constant burning pain on both arms and still swollen and lumpy. I get regular massages that do not seem to help. Is the burning sensation normal and if so, when will I start feeling better?

Brianperry. I understand your concerns. It may take as long as 6 to 9 months for fibrosis or scar tissue from previous liposuction to soften and settle down. You can continue gentle massage of the regions yourself in the meantime. This will not affect your pregnancy at all and should not cause ...

Swelling can take 6+ months to resolve, I suggest massage, RF treatments and tight compression at this time to limit the swelling.  Best, Dr. Emer.
