I would not recommend having a Tummy Tuck the next day after DaVinci hysterectomy. I would wait until complete healing after hysterectomy and then few months later you can do Tummy Tuck.
You will receive several different answers concerning this question. I personally would like to wait three months after you had your hysterectomy to allow for swelling to decrease your recovery from your operation to be complete. I definitely would not recommend having a tummy tub one day after having a hysterectomy.Earl Stephenson Jr MD, DDS, FACS
I recommend you discuss the time frame to wait following hysterectomy with your surgeon. I would not perform an abdominoplasty on a client one day post-op hysterectomy. There is too much inflammation. I would think six to eight weeks post-op would be adequate time to wait. I will add, many times a tummy tuck is performed at the same time as the hysterectomy but this is patient specific.
Thank you for your question. I would not recommend a tummy tuck one day after a hysterectomy. You will have significant swelling after the hysterectomy. In some cases a tummy tuck may be done at the sometime as the hysterectomy.
Hello, thank you for your question. You should not undergo two elective procedures with so little time in between. There are two ways to go, if you are thinking of undergoing a tummy tuck procedure, you can have both the tummy tuck and hysterectomy done at the same time, your plastic surgeon will lift the abdominal flap and your gynecologist will do his incision directly on the muscle wall without the need of the da vinci, the problem with this approach is there is an augmented risk for deep vein thrombosis from adding to major surgical procedures, although relatively small, the risk is still there. The other approach would be to get your hysterectomy, and wait at least 3 to 6 months before undergoing a tummy tuck. You should discuss your options with both your plastic surgeon and gynecologist to make the most appropriate choice, pending on the experience of both of them. Hope to have been of some help. Good luck with your surgery.
Thank you for your question. Although a tummy tuck can be done as an outpatient procedure in many patients, in my opinion a 1 night hospital stay greatly improves your comfort and helps you start your recovery in the most comfortable way.I frequently encourage my patients to spend an...
You are still swollen, give healing time.It is normal except in very slim people to have rolls when we sit down. With your surgeon's permission, start exercising.I do not recommend any weight loss stimulant, many do nothing and others are equivalent to high doses of caffeine, amphetamines...
It is normal to have those sensations. As the nerves start to come alive again you can have those sensations. Remember you just had a big operation and there is a lot of swelling and scarring that will occur. Over time these sensations should resolve but do not be alarmed if it takes more than 6...
