It is quite prominent when standing but flattens whilst laying down. Is this normal or swelling etc.? Worried about it as after abdominoplasty it was not like this till around 5 to 6 weeks.

It seems that your problem could quite easily be fixed with a significant extension of the scar. Simply cutting out the extra skin should produce your desired results.
