Also, can Finasteride and other medical treatments be stopped after “surgeries? 4 years after my 3rd FUT, I gradually reduced my Propecia intake and I stopped doing laser comb treatment, I noticed some hair thinning so I decided to do a final transplant. When doctors decided that “it’s enough”. Just checking for more opinions. Thanks.

Each individual varies with number of hair transplants they can have over a lifetime. Typically FUT procedures allow for more donor hairs to be harvested over the course of a lifetime compared to FUE.

Ask yourself: Can I be sure that my progressive hair loss has stopped for the rest of my life?
Nobody can answer this question, not even a dr.
All we know is that progressive hair loss does not stop if untreated.Sometimes it may appear the shedding has halted, only to find out a couple of years later that it has not.
Regenerative hair medicine has come a long way. We now have options like liquid solutions that allow for the usage of certain molecules without risking the side effects.
I would definitely advise you to do more research and find out which hair loss medication will benefit you most. There exist now DNA tests that can predict this and they are very affordable.

The number of procedures that can be performed in a lifetime are variable on an individual basis. On average though an individual would typically be able to comfortably be able to perform 3 procedures over a lifetime.

The answer would be subjective, and unique for every person. Each person has different capacity of donor hair, and usually patients do not prefer undergoing various hair transplants because of obvious reasons. However, if you've got a really good donor area, I suppose you could have 3-4 FUTs, or 3-4 FUEs, but the number of grafts extracted from your donor area would be lower gradually, as the capacity will be decreasing after each transplant. Last 2 hair transplants can be touch-ups where small amount of grafts are extracted to increase the density slightly.
