I searched for a long time and decided on Dr. Huber to complete my FUT Transplant procedure. I am African American I have 4B hair with thin strains. I had multiple areas on my head that needed attention and required multiple procedures as you can only do what you can based on the amount you receive from each strip. I was so pleased with how the first procedure went that I returned knowing they were exactly who I needed to get the job done right! I had the most amazing team Dr. Huber, Linda, Sandy, Clair, and a few others worked diligently and ensured I was comfortable the entire time. Answered all my questions and concerns, before, during and after the procedure. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I love.
I normally despise leaving reviews on anything however, this one was worth it. I approached the transplant procedure itself with an abundance of skepticism. Second to this was the same skepticism I had while searching for a reputable surgeon (and team) that I would essentially trust with altering my physical appearance. Available information on surgeons in the public realm related to testimonials, credentials and experience can only take you so far, the rest becomes a leap of faith. In my case, that was one well taken. The first thing that impressed me was the prompt and professional communication ,timed completely to my schedule and preferences. The team’s requests for information were clear and prepared me perfectly for the pre-op consultations and one-on-one consultation with Dr Huber flawlessly. All of my questions were answered either by Dr. Huber directly or a designated member of the team. (Linda, Sandy, Clair…thank you). As I traveled several hours from out of town, I was able to stay at a hotel less than 4 min away from the facility which conveniently, was comped for two nights. This allowed for travel, adequate rest, an early start on my appointment day and the required rest before my long drive home the following morning. As for the procedure itself, I was impressed with the professionalism, efficiency and cleanliness of the facility, all of which appeared well organized. This put me at ease and the ‘seamlessness’ of how the entire team worked together was impressive. Any questions I had in real time were answered, communication from Dr. Huber during the procedure was clear and at each step, I knew what was being done. The entire team played key parts to inform me of the immediate, short and long-term care post-op and I had no questions left to ask when I left. Communication via email and texts immediately after and in the several days following were helpful to re-affirm that I was following the post-op self-care instructions that will hopefully ensure my transplant procedure (2400+) grafts, was successful as can be. I cannot emphasize enough that I was given a clear and comprehensive post-op care schedule that required no follow up questions. My recover thus far (day 6) has been seamless with no complications and accordingly has met or exceeded my expectations going into this. I have been given an open-line of communication in the event I do have questions in these initial recovery days and throughout the normal timeline of hair regrowth and restoration. Additionally, I wish to comment on how clear the post-op treatment and maintenance requirements were made to me. Dr.Huber customized the best maintenance/treatment prescriptions, topical solutions and long-term recommendations for me personally to ensure the outcomes will be what I desired.
I had great experiences with both Dr. Huber and Dr. Jones over the past few years!. Dr. Huber was very knowledgeable, I was not pressured into treatment and provided a great patient experience. Definitely recommend
Working with Dr. Huber, Linda, Sandy, Clair and team has been nothing short of a five star experience. This is a professional team involved in a very sophisticated procedure. Throughout my two procedures with them, I never felt pressured and was provided with realistic expectations. I have spoken with friends who opted to look for options overseas based on price but this is the only team I trust. Dr. Huber's expertise and execution is second to none and the results are unbelievable. The team makes you feel comfortable and accommodating throughout the entire process. I've recommended them to several people. Thanks again for everything.
Hello, My name is Richard Fernandes, and I am a patient at Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons. I would like to thank them with deep gratitude for the outstanding work that they perform. I have recently undergone a second procedure at this facility. My first procedure was several years ago, and it was performed by Dr. Jones. My first procedure was a fantastic experience, and my second procedure is proving to be nothing less. Dr. Huber, Linda, Sandy, Clair, Cathy, Cindy, Helena and everyone else on the team are simply outstanding. The team members are true professionals. As well, they are caring, courteous, understanding, polite and simply wonderful. They go above and beyond to ensure that the patient experiences the best possible experience, and that the experience delivers the best possible result for the patient. I highly recommend this facility to anyone that is considering a hair transplant. Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons is a first class and world class facility. Richard Fernandes
Wanted to share my experience for folks who are making critical decisions in their own hair journeys. I had an FUE procedure - quoted 1200-1500 grafts - and I had 1382 implanted. My experience: The remote consultation: This organization doesn’t “sell” - which was a breath of fresh air. I dealt directly with dr huber right at the outset. He didn’t try to sell me on his abilities etc. He asked what I wanted to achieve in my journey. I felt listened to, heard and that I mattered. It was a nice change from some of the other clinics I spoke to. Logistics leading up to the day: I came from out of town - I loved the hotel accommodation, the travel recommendations and the pre-surgery confirmations. This was spearheaded by Sandy. Their process is structured - and leaves no ambiguity as to what to expect from their team, and what is expected of you on the day. The day of surgery!! The big day!! I had the team Dr huber, Linda, Cathy and Eli perform my transplant. I was introduced to everyone - and what their roles would be - and I could tell that my experience was their #1 priority. I felt valued. Dr Huber designed a wonderful hairline - and skillfully executed the procedure with his outstanding team. Pain was minimal. Entertainment provided. And great conversation with wonderful people. The recovery: I am on day 8 of recovery - and I get daily texts on how to manage the recovery best. I have to put 0 effort into finding information - they provided everything. Love it! Conclusion: When I was making my decision, of course cost was a factor, but I was MOST concerned with a team that cared and could get the job done right and the first time. From reading all of the clinics’ reviews in the area and researching - I put my bet on dr huber and his team. After everything so far, I could not be happier with my decision. Cheers, Freddy.
I had a hair transplant (FUE) procedure done 1 year ago. It was completed by Dr. Huber, Linda, Clair and Daniella. I had major balding on the crown of my head. I did a video chat with Dr. Huber and he requested 4-5 photos. After seeing my photos, Dr. Huber suggested that I would need approximately 2,200 grafts to fill in my crown area. I arrived around 10 am on the day of my surgery. They took some pictures and then started my process by marking up the graft area and then they cut all of my hair so they could get suitable grafts. I did not find the process very painful at all since my head was mostly frozen. They took the 2,200 grafts from the back and sides of my head and had 2 of the staff reviewing them under microscope to ensure they were healthy grafts. After that Dr. Huber created the areas for the grafts. I could hear them counting the holes as they went. I ate Swiss Chalet for lunch while my grafts were soaking in a solution. After lunch I sat still in a chair while 2 of the staff inserted each graft manually into my crown area. My procedure was completed by 4:30 and I had a friend drive me back to his house since I lived 4 hours away. I don't recall experiencing much pain after my surgery. The only inconvenience was trying to sleep with my head raised so I wouldn't disturb my new grafts for the first 10 days. It's been a year now and my crown area looks full and I'm very happy with the results. I was just in the office for my PRP treatment where they extracted blood and then injected it into the top of my head. Process took about 20 minutes. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with my results and would consider doing it again if my front begins to thin out. I would highly recommend having this procedure done.
I just had surgery at Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons with Dr. Huber. It was my first FUE but Dr. Huber and all the staff were so comforting and professional that I didn't feel any discomfort before and during the surgery. I would like to thank Dr. Huber, Linda, Clair, Daniella, and the team who were part of my first and best hair transplant experience.
An uncomfortable number of Hair Restoration Surgeons don't see or speak to you until the day of your surgery. Many of them charge fees in the three digits if you want to consult with them. This always felt to me a bit scummy; you'd hope that if you're paying tens of thousands of dollars for a procedure, the least the person who holds all the power can do is be a source of support and information. I understand that professionals in this field are busy, but if you have empathy for your patients, you'll make it work. Dr. Huber sets an example. How he conducts himself is evidence to me that he actually cares about the wellbeing of his patients. He has a systematic and affordable way for people to discuss their options. He replies thoroughly and within a reasonable time frame to emails. He consistently displays a breadth of knowledge on the current scientific material and explains it all in direct language. And he roots his advice in patients' needs, not just his own pockets. I bloviated about receiving a lot of grafts and he calmly explained to me that, given my situation, I didn't need nearly as many I thought. That is not the advice of a salesman. If you're in Ontario and you're unsure where to start your hair restoration journey, do yourself a favour and request a consultation with Dr. Huber.
A picture says 1000 words, so have a look. The first picture shows my crown before any treatment, a year later just affected by medication, and then a year after that getting transplant on it. The second picture shows my front before the surgery, and then 1 year later.
