I have swollen lymph nodes after cheek filler, could this be an infection?

I have a red swollen lymph node underneath ear lobe 2 weeks after cheek filler. Does this mean there is an infection? Or healing problems? It's very painful.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photograph. It is not unusual to have asymmetric swelling following injection of fillers in the lips. Things will calm down in a few days. Cold compresses and Arnica might help. Good luck,

I ask my patients to wait at least 2 weeks before making any conclusions about the appearance of the area being treated. The reason for this is because there will be swelling and it takes at least 2 weeks for the swelling to resolve. Once the swelling is resolved we are able to determine...
