I came across a person with almost the same build as me and I loved the look that she has. She went with high profile implants and I'm a bit narrower 9-10 bwd and was told to go with ultra high for the look that I want. So if I go with ultra high of the same cc's will they look bigger or the same as high profile?
Answer: How will Ultra High implants look as compared to High Profile implants? As the other Plastic Surgeon mentioned, with the same amount of fill volume the UHP implants simply have a narrower base and increase projection as compared to their HP counterparts. However, that being said these measurements are bench top and may vary when actually placed beneath the muscle due to the constraining force of the tissue on top of the muscle. My suggestion would be to consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in breast enhancement and to bring in 2-3 photos of a volumetric "look" that you are trying to accomplish. From here, measurements are generally taken and your goals discussed. I hope that helps and wish you the very best!

Answer: Do ultra high profile implants look bigger than high profile implants of the same ccs? Ultra high profile implants give more upper breast fullness when compared to high profile implants. They also allow for a little more volume when comparing the width of the implants. Good luck!

Answer: Do ultra high profile implants look bigger than high profile implants of the same ccs? Thank you for the question. Online consultants will not be a good resource for you when it comes to selection of appropriate breast implant type/size/profile. Although it is true that ultra high profile breast implants have greater projection, I do not think that comparing yourself to your friends or acquaintances will be helpful when it comes to selection of breast implant size/profile. In other words, there are many factors that come into play when it comes to the final look achieved with breast augmentation surgery. Anecdotally, I have found that ultra high profile breast implants are very useful when it comes to achieving certain outcomes for patients with narrow frames. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. ***Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup” or "look torpedoes" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers. I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

Answer: Do ultra high profile implants look bigger than high profile implants of the same ccs? Think of an implant as being a triangle or pyramid. Higher profile implants have a narrower base and a higher point or peak. Consequently, lower profile implants have a broader base and have less height or projection, even though they may have the same volume as a higher profile implant of the same cc's. The selection of implants is a balance of choosing an implant that covers the width of the chest wall with the volume the patient requests. In the big picture, an ultra high profile implant will have slightly more projection and a slightly more narrow base than a high profile implant of the same volume.
