I am 11 days PO. I had 375cc high profile implants. I was previously a 34/36B. I'm around 5ft8 and wear UK size 10/12 on the bottom. I wanted to a achieve a natural but big and full breast. I'm feeling the implants are quite small. I know drop and Fluff needs to happen but will this make the breasts appear to look bigger? I feel as I am tall I should of had a bigger implant size. Any advise appreciated
Answer: Too small after breast augmentation? Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. Although online consultants will not be able to provide you with meaningful reassurance, it may be helpful for you to know that a significant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. From the physiological standpoint, it takes many months ( and even up to one year) to see the final results of surgery. factors such as swelling, tissue contraction, skin redraping, implant shifting etc. come into play. You may be pleasantly surprised wants to be "drop and fluff" phenomenon has occurred (many patients feel that their breasts actually look larger). You may also be happier once the swelling AROUND the breast implants dissipates and the implants' shape and projection become more visible. From the psychological standpoint, patients undergo an “adaptation period" during which time they get used to the changes that the surgical procedure I would send has brought about. In your case, I would suggest continued patience and continued close follow-up with your plastic surgeon. If in the longer term you remain displeased with your breast size, re augmentation with larger breast implants may be an option. If this does become the case, make sure that you communicate your goals clearly; the use of goal photographs and computer imaging may be very helpful in the communication process. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with longterm.

Answer: Dropping of Implants Hi sharon1520, Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position. I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. Also, follow your plastic surgeons post operative instructions and advice for faster healing and recovery. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: 375cc high profile breast implants from 34/36B, do they look too small? Your result looks excellent at 10 days after breast augmentation surgery. I predict he will have an excellent full result and I do not think your implants are too small. Understand that this early after surgery the overlying tissues are compressing the implants making them look smaller. Once they drop I think he will be very pleased.
