CoolSculpting by Zeltiq is a very flexible system that allows us to eliminate fat in a wide variety of areas. I’ve had great success eliminating pubic mounds with CoolSculpting. You can eliminate about 30% of fat at a time, so it will probably take several sessions. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who can evaluate you to ensure that this is the best method for you.
Yes, CoolSculpting can be done on the public mound to reduce fat in the area with great success in the appropriate candidates. Most people will need 2-3 rounds of treatment in this area and results are optimized when combined with a skin tightening treatment. Make sure you see an experienced provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
Hi LoriMac. Yes, the pubic mound region can be treated. With the variety of CoolSculpting applicator sizes, we can now target multiple regions of the body. As always, a CoolSculpting consult is recommended. Best of luck with your treatment!
Great question and lot of people want to get that area treated. Coolsculpting can absolutely be done in that area as long as we are able to feel and pull the fat. The best determination would be after a consultation but short answer yes it can be done to treat the pubic area fat.
Yes, Coolsculpting can be performed in this area, but I've found that non-invasive treatments take many treatments to get improvement in this area. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
CoolSculpting is quite effective in reducing fat in multiple locations. To be effective, the fat in the area must be contained within the handpiece or applicator. If the applicator can be adequately applied to the area, it should work well. Please seek consultation with an experienced board certified Plastic Surgeon.
Yes, there are several ways to address the pubic mounds. If the Coolsculpting applicator fits perfectly that is certainly a great option to treat the area non-surgically. The other off-label option to treat is use of Kybella in that area. I have actually done both Coolsculpting and Kybella and had very nice results.
the answer is yes. we have many people who chose to have this area treated. minimum 2 treatments are required and the results are great!
Yes, Coolsculpting is a safe and effective way to treat fatty tissue on the pubic mound. The best news about treating this sensitive area is that the new Cooladvantage series makes treatment faster and more comfortable while at the same time resulting in less tenderness/irritation post treatment. Specifically, the addition of the Cooladvantage Petite has transformed our ability to treat this area since its unique shape and size fits perfectly on most women.
Great question and YES! There are many size coolsculpting applicators, if the amount of fat on the mons pubis fits into the applicator then you can freeze it. I would recommend several treatments as the fat is this area is usually pretty dense.I hope this helps and have fun
Good question. There is no issue with electronic interference with coolsculpting. This is different as compared to electro-cautery used during other surgeries since there is no current flowing between the two spots. Coolsculpting will have no bearing on your ICD.
I appreciate your question. Coolscultping as a non-invasive procedure gives you 2-25% reduction in 3 months. This is permanent. It may require an area to have more than 1 treatment, but this is all done while watching tv or working from your computer in our office. PAH is very rare, less than 1%...
However, if you have a current outbreak around the treatment area, you should wait until it is fully cleared up. Also, CoolSculpting is not recommended for those who have developed shingles from a herpes virus. First, talk to the physician who treats you for herpes to see if he or she has any...
