Will Buccal Fat Removal TAKE AWAY my dimples? (photos)

Question

I know dimples have to do with a short cheek muscles gap or something of that sort; I'm just curious as to If the fat removal process will take my dimples away completely or if they would make them appear deeper because of less fat pockets.

Buccal fat removal 'removes" the fullness of the lower anterior cheeks but doesn't remove the cheek dimples. However it may change the appearance of the dimples.

Cheek dimples may look for deep with a full face or after gaining weight ( fat face) Therefore, as with weight loss, buccal fat removal by decreasing the fullness of the  cheeks, may affect the appearance of the dimples (they may look less deep)

The dimples shouldn't go away, but they could change possibly. Of course, if they did, we could adjust the dimples to make them more prominent.

Great question! Buccal fat surgery will only slightly affect the appearance of your dimples - it can make them appear less shallow as the entire cheek complex comes in to improve contour.  A good idea is to suck in slightly your cheeks to get an idea of what it would look like.  As the muscle itself or the insertion to the modiolus/skin does not get affected during buccal fat reduction, it would not get rid of them or make them more pronounced.  I hope some of this helps!
