FUE Hair shedding after 2 weeks? (photos)

Question

I got an FUE (4000 grafts) carried out in Turkey at the start of the month, at around the 2 week point the implanted hairs that had grown had shed, is this normal as I see on other sited the shedding doesn't usually occur till around the 6 week point, I have attached some photos showing the growth and loss over the weeks. I have spoke with the clinic and I am told that this is normal and that shedding will occur in some cases after 2 weeks? Just looking at a second opinion.

It should be explained to all patients that post-op shedding normally occurs at around 2 weeks post-op, due to the tissue entering it's dormant cycle. The permanent growth normally does not begin until around the third month post-op.

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs days to weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.

The hair follicles are harvested and can be in any stage of hair growth - either the growing phase, stationary phase or shedding phase so I would not be worried. 
Most hair that is transplanted eventually sheds. Your final result will not be apparent till 18 months to 2 years so dont worry.
Some patients the shedding is at 3 months, some is earlier and some is later.

Your grafted hairs usually start to shed 10-14 days after surgery and will continue to do so up until 8-10 weeks after. Therefore, you should expect to see little to no growth within the first 0-3 months of your surgery. After 3 months you should expect to see some hairs that will begin to sprout.

Hi ! Thank you for the question. Shedding is an expectation after Hair Transplant procedure, Some of the transplanted hair may fall off with scabs, some of them continue growing back without falling. There is noting to worry about

Hi, thanks for posting your question. I always advise patients that if they get growth in the first 7-10 days, then the follicle is alive. If the transplanted hair sheds after two weeks, there is no concern since the follicle has survived the journey. Shedding of the grafts is normal. They will go into sleep mode and then start growing by the 2-5th month and keep growing to stylnig length. Shedding of your native hair is called Shock loss and this condition occurs in young men with residual native hair very often and can be prevented with the medication finasteride
