To treat post-VASER HI DEF abdominal itching, most experienced plastic surgeons would recommend an antihistamine, like Benadryl. Benadryl comes in a topical liquid gel or as pills. Either form will work. Deep tissue massage can also help to break up the scarring after VASER HI DEF lipo. A massage wand like a Theragun will also help to break up scar tissue.

Thanks for your question and the photos you provided. Itching is very common as patients heal from liposuction/abdominal etching. Itching is likely caused by nerve regeneration or your nerves finding new paths under your skin. Talk to your primary care doctor if it is safe for you to take over the counter supplements to help with nerve regeneration. Good luck, itching will likely improve with more time.

During liposuction surgery, some of the small nerve fibres may have been disrupted and you can have occasional numbness called paraesthesia. The itchy sensation is also an indication that the nerves are recovering. You may feel sensations of numbness, itch and burning before it gets back to normal.
