I have a callus after rhinoplasty. Would it help to tape it at night time?

Hello, I got a rhinoplasty in Dec 2020 which resulted in a bony calleous. My Dr told me multiple times when I brought it up as a concern that it would go away and did not give many details other than that. 4 years later it is still here! he offered a revision to remove the callous, however, it is not feasible for me right now. I am wondering if a provider would know if taping the callous at night time would help? Or would this make it worse?

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question It may take 1 to 1.5 years for the nose to settle completely after rhinoplasty. I recommend waiting at least 6 months before planning another revision. It would be better face to face consultation. Best Regards!

Not at all. Recovery is very smooth with rhinoplasty surgery. Approximately 80% of my patients who are coming for rhinoplasty surgery from overseas come by themselves. We don’t expect any pain and discomfort after the surgery and we strongly encourage our patients to be up and about right away.
