I’ve got breast augmentation 3 months ago with Mentor 380ml high profile implants using under the muscle dual plane technology with internal bra. My right breast is doing this when i flex the muscle- as you can see on the photo. How to fix this problem?

Answer: Animation deformity There are a number of options that could provide improvement, but the most reliable one for a true animation deformity is to move the implants from under to muscle to above. I would suggest a visit to your surgeon for a more definitive diagnosis and discussion of treatment options.

Answer: Double crease Dear Genuine158306, though rare, some women who undergo breast augmentation will develop a minor deformity known as a “double bubble,” in which additional folds appear underneath the breasts due to the implant accidentally shifting or contracting post-surgery. In most cases, the implant simply slipped too far down the chest wall and traveled behind the breast inframammary crease (the area where the lower breast meets the chest), instead of moving forward to fill the breast cavity. If left untreated, the lopsided implant will form unnatural indentations, resulting in an odd “four-breast effect” rather than the full, rounded chest the patient initially desired. Answer: Is this animation deformity? How to fix the problem? Animation deformity occurs when implants are placed beneath the muscle. On the L side the muscle has also retracted causing the fold . Correction is best achieved by converting to subfascial placement

Answer: Animation deformity Yes, it is animation deformity. Your pectoralis major muscle edge is being seen. You may consider fat transfers to try and conceal it or replace with smaller implants. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Hyperanimation deformity Dear Genuine, Hyperanimation breast deformity after breast augmentation is a difficult condition to manage. The only guaranteed treatment for it is a plane change from the submuscular to the subglandular position. Sometimes massaging can help release some the tethering scar tissue. The elephant in the room here is your "internal bra." We don't know what kind of internal bra you had performed, the purpose of it, whether it was on both sides and what type of mesh was used. At only 3 months postop, things will change with time. Continue follow up with your PS. Good luck!
