I am 5'7 237 pounds. I have lost 115 pounds. Looking to loose another 62 pounds. Trying to fit into clothes/bras is becoming difficult. My legs are a 1-2 sizes smaller than what my hips and my stomach is. What are your recommendations? Am I currently a candidate for a boob/stomach/hip/rear job? If I continue to loose weight after a boob job will it effect my boobs badly? If I am not a candidate how much more weight until I can be a candidate? ball park cost? I have had a lot of weight loss. And plan to loose more weight. But I have a bad back, and having trouble with clothes fitting cause of excess skin. I am trying to figure out if anything can be done now or if I should wait. In regards to procedures, it is more like body contouring because of such a massive weight loss. So I am not sure what procedures I should be looking at. I know a breast augmentation/breast lift is needed, no implants. I know belly needs to be done, excess skin removed possible liposuction if possible, Arms need to be done to remove excess skin. Butt needs to be lifted? Excess skin. Possible lipsuction?
Answer: Body enhancement First of all I have to congratulate you for the courage of losing that weight. Your life will only be better because you will be healthier and now that you started the journey of the body enhancement, you will be feeling great. You will see.You are a perfect candidate for several surgeries that will improve you whole body. My personal opinion is to start with the Circumferential Tummy Tuck and Butt lift (lower body lift) in order to improve at once your abdomen (also with a nice muscle repair), butt area and sides and also you will see some improvement on your front thighs and lateral thighs.Liposuction during this procedure can be done, but mild to avoid the damage to the blood circulation of the entire body lift. That fat (whichever the amount) can be used to transfer into your butt.As second and third stages can be done: breast with armlift, then thighs. All of this stages instead of doing several at once prevent risk and complications.Feel encouraged. You will love your new you.Dr. Cardenas

Answer: Planning Reconstructive Plastic Surgery After Significant Weight Loss Congratulations on your impressive achievement of losing 115 pounds. Your commitment to weight loss is commendable. In response to your question about undergoing reconstructive plastic surgery for your stomach, breasts, possibly buttocks, arms, and legs, it's crucial to consider the timing and approach for such procedures. Weight Loss and Surgery Timing: Continue your weight loss journey to reach your target weight. It's advisable to undergo reconstructive surgery after achieving maximum weight loss. Hold off on any surgical procedures for now. Undergoing surgery before reaching your weight goal may not be beneficial in terms of both results and investment. Aim for a stable weight for about three months before considering surgery. Staged Approach to Surgery: Most plastic surgeons specializing in post-massive weight loss surgery recommend a staged approach, usually comprising two or three stages. Stage One: Focuses on a 360 circumferential lower body lift (belt lipectomy), addressing the pubic area, abdomen, rectus abdominis muscles, hips, and buttocks. Stage Two: Typically includes an anchor breast lift (mastopexy) and an arm lift (brachioplasty), possibly with arm liposuction. A back lift (torsoplasty) might also be considered. Stage Three: Involves a thigh lift or reduction, often combined with thigh liposuction and an incision from the groin to the knee. Recovery and Anesthesia: All stages are performed under general anesthesia. Allow two to three months of recovery between each stage. Plan for at least two to three weeks off work post each surgery. In summary, it's advisable to focus on your weight loss goals first and then consider the outlined stages once your weight has stabilized. This approach will help achieve the best possible outcomes from your reconstructive surgeries. I hope this information guides you in your decision-making process and wish you continued success in your weight loss journey. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Am I a candidate now? Looking to have done stomach, boobs, maybe butt, maybe arms, and maybe legs I would continue the weight loss before performing any definitive procedures. A panniculectomy may be considered at this time if this is an impediment to further progress.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Body Contouring After Weight Loss Congratulations on your weight loss! The transition period can be difficult for patients. You are a candidate for body contouring at this point. While more weight loss would be beneficial, body contouring can help to give you a jump start. A lipo-abdominoplasty or body lift would be indicated. An armlift with adjunctive liposuction would also be beneficial. Finally a breast lift would be helpful. I would recommend staging the upper and lower body procedures separately. Consult with a surgeon experienced in body contouring after weight loss. Best wishes.

Answer: Loose more weight before tummy tuck? It is always best if you are as close to your goal weight as possible. If you are going to loose another 10 pounds then it probably doesn't matter but if you are going to loose 50+ then accomplish that goal first. Your surgical result will hold up better and for a longer time. Once you've lost the weight you could start with a tummy tuck and breast lift although you might consider a lower body lift which would also improve your buttocks. good luck and keep up the good work.
