I’ve always had smaller breast (size 34B), after kids they were HUMONGOUS then quickly deflated and I felt like I was left with saggy boobs with a nipple attached! Dr Brou was recommended for being the BEST and I’m so glad I went with him. I decided to go with 405cc. I am 2 weeks and 5 days post op and they already look AMAZING! Sleeping is still not so fun as I am a side sleeper and even though I was told I could start sleeping on my side, it just hurts really bad when I do. So still sleeping on my back! I do wish they would add more photos of the first week so people would know the “frankenboobs” are normal and will go away.
I have not felt comfortable in a bikini in 10 years.. since my first kid. I am only 5 days P/O and I am already in love with my results. Dr. Brou was always really nice and listened at every visit. I had to stay the night at the surgery suite since I had a longer surgery and he came to see me before I was discharged to make sure everything was looking good. I got a tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo and then a boob lift. He did so perfect on everything. My belly button looks beautiful and I like its positioning. My boobs looks amazing! My tummy tuck cut is so nice and the cut isn’t all over the place. He did such Ana amazing job. I couldn’t be more happy. I’d recommend him to anyone! Updated on 24 May 2023: Just updating with some more progress pics. These are exactly 4 weeks PO. My healing has been perfect. He really transformed my body into one I can look at and not instantly want to hide it with layering of clothing. Awesome surgeon!
After 2 kids and losing 50 pounds. I decided it was finally time for a lift. I was a saggy C cup and hope to be a full D. I believe we went with a 375cc moderate profile implant. Dr Brou was amazing and I look forward to a Tummy Tuck in the near future. Updated on 13 Oct 2020:
Couldn’t be more happy with my results! My augmentation looks so natural and fits my body perfectly. Dr. Brou and his staff were so comforting and helpful throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!
Dr Brou is absolutely amazing! He was very professional and gave me realistic results on what to expect. I am 25 yo with two kids I had breastfed and lost 40 lbs. I had saggy d cup breasts. On dec 31st 2018 we did a full anchor lift with 375 cc silicone moderate profile under the muscle. I’m 3 weeks out and couldn’t be more pleased! Thanks again to dr brou and the premier plastic surgery And aesthetics team!
I really can’t say enough about Dr. Brou and his staff. I had a previous TT with two revisions due to surgical hematomas, chronic seroma, and a pseudo bursa. I couldn’t get any other plastic surgeon in the area to even consult with me due to my history. (I had been worked up and cleared by hematology to rule out clotting issues). Dr. Brou listened to me and he gave me hope. He was so thorough my consultation was almost an hour and I felt so at ease after that. His bedside manner is impeccable and the results I found post op are better than I could ever imagine. I thought I was going to loose my navel due to previous surgeries and I was prepared for it. I was amazed to find a beautiful and normal navel when I work up. I struggle to see a scar. I would
Dr. Brou did a breast reduction for me December of 2009. It was the best thing I ever did for myself! I don’t scar easily, you can barely see the line that goes with a reduction incision. I have had some consultations to get my arm put fat removed and when I tell the provider that I have had a reduction they are a bit surprised because they say they can not tell. I was also able to breast feed. My full milk did not come in but I fed my son 1/2 breast mole 1/2 formula for 4 months. I’ve always talked about how amazing Dr. Brou is! I live in Knoxville TN and would drive to Okc and stay there for any big procedures in the future! Yes, Dr. Brou is that good!!! You will not be sorry if you choose Dr. Brou for your procedure.
I am not even considered an A cup. I am wanting a full C if that would be at all possible. When I was breastfeeding my breast would grow in size tremendously so I know I have quite a bit of elasticity in my breast. I have a consult soon and I just want to know what to look forward to so that I will not be let down/disappointed. I have wanted my breast done since I can remember. My mother always had small breasts so I knew that I would be the same. I have always had low self esteem and I am very self conscious and insecure about my body. I’m just hoping I can achieve the look I am going for.
I had my origin BA about 11 years ago and was never happy with the results. My old implants were high profile 325cc saline overfilled at probably 375. I didn’t ask enough questions the first time and I’m sure the techniques were very different at that time. However, I don’t remember my PS ever measuring, discussing what I wanted, etc. I’m sure I was a bit embarrassed about it all and too nervous to ask much of the doctor. My breast tissue Hs sagged off the old implants, and the look just as bad as they did 11 year ago. I have tuberous breasts, and they will probably not be perky and gorgeous again free breastfeeding two kids. I decided I was tired of having to lift things up in my bra to make it look right, and tired of being embarrassed bout the big boobs in a swimsuit. I’m 5’4” and 108. A 32DD was just too big for me, as I am athletic and very active. These pics were taken the day before my surgery. I want to go down in size and have chosen a modern profile silicone Sientra 325 or 300 cc, depending on what the doctor thinks. I’m pretty nervous about it all, as my recovery before took forever and I got capsular contracture after about 6 months last time. My PS says I will have a ‘definite improvement’, lol. Can’t wait for that. I’ve used this site for year and decided to give back, hoping to help someone with their journey.Updated on 6 Feb 2018: Here re my photos one week after my implant revision. I was on pain meds for 4 days after, then was fine to go to Advil. I iced CONSTANTLY for the first 4 days and truly rested, as per my PS instructions. I didn’t do this the first time around. I took arnica tablets (5 per day) for 5 days before and a week after my surgery. I also took a Vitamin K each day for a week before and bromelian for 5 days before and after my surgery. I did some light yoga and walking by day 3. I had some tightness in the chest (from new implants and pocket revision) even though my new implants are 310 moderate profile. By the time this pic was taken I was feeling fine, still some tightness, but able to function normally. No exercise except yoga, stretching and walking. Updated on 6 Feb 2018: I feel good, back to most normal activities. I have some muscle spasm in the lower left breast, which you can see in the picture. It comes and goes, but def not enough to take a muscle relaxer. Feel like I’m healing pretty well, and surprised how much easier this has been than the recovery 11 years ago. Updated on 10 Feb 2018: Updated on 10 Feb 2018: I posted my pictures above. And I apologize for my typos in previous updates....I was typing on my phone, and there doesn't seem to be an option here to update your reviews! Perhaps this could be fixed. At any rate, I'm 3 weeks post procedure, and posted my pics above. Glue is off, and the PS says I am healing well! Scars are barely visible, especially compared to the last lift procedure. Found out at my follow-up my implants are cohesive gel....don't know why I didn't think to ask this before, but I am very relived to know there is no chance of silicone leakage. Feeling back to normal, and am back to me regular exercise routine, minus push-ups, which still feel weird. I'll do another update next week, my PS and I are both hoping they drop a bit more so that my nipples point more upward. He said he used the "pursestring" procedure, and sometimes that pulls the nippes down a little. HOPEFULLY they settle some more!Updated on 15 Feb 2018: Eve thing is going well! I’ve begun massage, and continue taking bromeliads as I feel like there still bruising around the nipples. I’ve also started putting Truth Vitamin C Cream in my scars. I feel like the right has dropped I. Well, but the left still needs to drop more. Fingers crossed it will and soon!
I’m 6 weeks post op for a full TT and breast lift with implants. I’ve been using the biochorneum for about 3 weeks and I think the results are amazing. I usually scar very well, but I was starting to develop a thicker, ropey scar under my breast. I’ve noticed it flattening since using this product. I really wasn’t expecting to have the redness fade so much at this point. The only cons are the drying time and the expense. I can say the bottle goes a long way. I bought the large bottle at my PS office for approx $95, but I did find it on Amazon for less. Because it takes a bit to dry I’ve really only been using it once a day after showering. I’m a thrilled with the results and I’m a huge fan!
Dear Krasotka 968, the answer to your question is yes, you need a revision. Your results didn't turn out right and no cream or massage is going to fix it. I couldn't even tell you what needs to be done because I need a lot more information to figure out what went wrong. After asking you some questions and examining you I can probably come up with a way to improve them which probably be different to the plan another plastic surgeon could concoct. You need to go see a board certified plastic surgeon with knowledge and experience in corrective surgery also known as revision surgery. Good luck!
Dear pirateship, there comes a time where things are not going to get better and you (the surgeon) have to go back in and fix it. That is the case with your seroma. Seromas don't get better by themselves unless you use compression and limit mobility and of course drain them repeatedly so they will close. If you can't manage them this way in a few weeks to a month then you have to plan to close them surgically because if you don't then they can get infected and therefore make things worse. Once infected you cannot close them because they will fail unless you clear the infection with antibiotics and debridments and that may take a while. If you were my patient I would have treated that problem a long time ago.
I understand your question perfectly. You're thin and athletic and your skin is reasonable but your abdominal wall is shot that's why you have symptoms of back pain and posture problems. You may experience some urine incontinence as well. You can repair a full length diastasis through a very small incision and adding a little lipo, your tummy will look awesome. In this case you don't get a new belly button because the original one is kept the same or moved slightly down. If your skin is more of a problem then a traditional abdominoplasty will manage that best especially for people with skin folds or aprons that can result from scars like c-sections or hysterectomies.
Dear md73. Are you a smoker? were you then? Necrosis could happen to the best of us. It's more likely to happen in smokers even if they put down the cigarettes. Necrosis could be due to poor technique and excessive tension at closure. Once the tissues survive then they are more protected from it by a phenomenon known as the "delay phenomenon" which protects the tissue from necrosis to a point by rearranging the blood circulation in that area. Your photos show a result that can be greatly improved with a revision. If anything just getting rid of that contracted scar where you broke down would be a plus. It's been long enough for you to embark on improvements. If you were my patient I would offer a revision knowing it will be safe. Good luck!
Bonjour Jacqueline! I've seen your photos posted at 4 months and this ones at a year. Unfortunately you didn't post photos of you before surgery. The upper abdominal bulge is due to intra abdominal fat which is the fat that accumulates around your organs. This fat is off limits and can't be removed with a tummy tuck. Indeed, removing it would cause serious health problems like damage to your organs and intestinal obstruction, etc. So what happens is that this fat increases the volume of your intra abdominal organs so the tightening of your muscles that was done during your tummy tuck stretches out to give room to your organs. You typically see that as a prominent upper bulge. Your results can be improved but you have to loose weight, about 20 lbs. You will not be a good candidate for correction unless you do loose the weight. I know you're struggling with that but there's no other way. You were not a very good candidate for the original tummy tuck to begin with. I see many patients that come to me for tummy tucks and other body surgeries. They come to me after having lost 20, 40 and sometimes more pounds. I ask them how do they do that and the answer is always diet and exercise! it works every time. In order for it to work you have to change completely your lifestyle, you have to like the things you eat and not the other way around. Look into the Keto diet, it has the quickest results and it will improve your health overall. It's not healthy to be heavy. Good luck!
