I have been athletic my whole life, with above average muscle. I have thyroid disease and PCOS. I am 32 and a size 14. I ride horses. I work out and eat right but I fall off the wagon when I don't see the results I would like to get. My lower abdomen hangs over my pants and my inner thighs rub together & cause me to wear pants to avoid rubbing injuries. I looked at coolsculpting, thought it might help me lose a few inches, but after reading reviews I don't think that the cost will=the results.

Thank you for asking about your liposuction.Medicaid won't pay for liposuction but it will not lead to weight loss either. To lose weight, ask your regular doctor to refer you to a bariatric surgeon for a gastric bypass. And ask for guidance on calories and exercise - if we take in few calories...
You will probably find the cost varies quite a bit from surgeon to surgeon.A big part of this depends on if this is done as an office-based procedure or in a formal operating room with general anesthesia. If done with general anesthesia expect to pay a minimum of $1500 just for the facility fee...
As long as you are otherwise healthy, having the trait for beta thalassemia should not exclude you from having liposuction. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to further discuss your options. Good luck!
