I'm 6 days post op tummy tuck and EVERYTHING itches. At ends of incision lines, pubic area all swollen areas. Is this abnormal?

Swelling is normal after a tt.  Itching this soon after the procedure is not that common, though not especially ominous.  In my experience, this likely represents a skin allergy to the adhesives used to affix the steristrips.  It is about time for a checkup with your doctor anyway, so see him and let him check it out.  The skin sensitivity will look red, rash like, may have blisters, and will follow the area that the steristrips cover.best

Some degree of itching and swelling is very common after a tummy tuck. You should have close follow up with your surgeon. In some cases you can have an allergic reaction or swelling could signify a fluid collection. Good luck. 

While itching is a normal part of the healing process, you could have an allergy to a medication or irritation from a post-operative garment.  It is best to check with your surgeon to be sure.  If you do not have a true allergy, sometimes Benadryl will help with the itching.

The most common cause of itching after tummy tuck is the side effect of pain medications.  A second possible cause is allergy to one of the medications you are taking.  Another possible cause is a side effect of the topical antiseptic preparation solutions that were used on your skin.Please see her plastic surgeon about all of these possibilities and whether your surgeon will approve you're taking Benadryl.
