Lower bleph with fat repositioning, skin pinch, and muscle tightening

Question

Post op six months from upper and lower bleph, fat repositioning, skin pinch and muscle tightening. I still have noticeable tear troughs/. I look almost identical to my pre op pics when compared. I still look tired and am embarrassed as there are little fat bulges where he repositioned the fat on my lower lids. He also stated that we only have so much fat to work with under the eye and that is all he had to work with. Now he is suggesting fillers in order to make the tear trough look better.

Your doctor is correct in saying that there is only so much fat to work with.  That is a correct statement if the source is your lower eyelid fat.  It is difficult to tell without photos, but at this point, your options are to use a filler or another fat graft from a different area.  Best of luck.

Without photos, it's difficult to say what's exactly going on - however, if you still have noticeable tear troughs there are ways to improve upon this - fillers and fat grafting are two potentials. Fat grafting tends to be more permanent, but it depends on the preparation and techniques. If you are unhappy with your results, then it may be best to let your Plastic Surgeon know directly. Sometimes this has to do with the healing process, etc. Best of luck!
