Will my insurance pay for gynecomastia surgery? I'm from Minnesota and I'm under ucare.

I do a lot of gynecomastia surgery and very rarely has insurance covered the costs. I cannot speak for your insurance, but your surgeon could try to get it precertified, but do not get you hopes up too much. Good luck.

Unfortunately almost all insurance companies consider gynecomastia surgery cosmetic and will not cover any of the fees. However, it wouldn't hurt to have your surgeon attempt to get coverage for you. Good luck.

Thanks for your question.  Unfortunately idopathic gynecomastia is rarely covered by insurance.   In some cases if found to be a result of a medical conedition insurance pre-authorization can be attempted.  Best of luck with your surgery.
