I do a lot of gynecomastia surgery and very rarely has insurance covered the costs. I cannot speak for your insurance, but your surgeon could try to get it precertified, but do not get you hopes up too much. Good luck.
Unfortunately almost all insurance companies consider gynecomastia surgery cosmetic and will not cover any of the fees. However, it wouldn't hurt to have your surgeon attempt to get coverage for you. Good luck.
