Does 520cc on a 5ft 3, 155lbs, age 25, size 34A sound too big? (Photos)

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women with similar measurements with different size breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them.

The 3D imaging should be very helpful for you in choosing size.    Based on your height and weight, and the fact that you are only in your 20's, 520 cc is large, and you may regret having selected it in the future after pregnancy and/or gaining weight.     Implants in the larger range tend will have more impact on the skin, with stretching and sagging of the lower portion of the breast.      Don't be fixated on cup size, but focus on the look.     I think you would have an excellent result with something in the mid 400 range.     It is easier to go up in size in the future than to go down in size.    Good luck.   

Good afternoon!Given your photos and goals, I think the 520cc would be more than you want- try the 425-ish size. I would be hesitant to use a Moderate Profile implant, however, because they are way more flat and wide compared to your goal photos. I would go at least Mod Plus!

Thank you for your question. I share your concern.Generally speaking when the implant sizes go above 300cc then you really want to make sure your body can tolerate that as well as cosmetically that is the size that you want.Having said that, the sizes are dictated by multiple factors during the physical exam.  If you feel that you can not communicate effectively with your surgeon then it would be a good idea to have as second opinion. It is important to have good communication between you and your surgeon. If you don't feel that you are being heard then seeing a second opinion is always a good idea. Without an in person exam it is hard to say if 440 or 520 cc implants are too big for you, but it seems that way. Trying breast implant sizers on under clothes may be a better way for you to identify the correct size for you.

Try on a profile bra with various implant sizes under a tailored blouse, tight sweater, swimsuit, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. 
I would recommend that you go with the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy.  Choosing an implant based on an aesthetic goal that exceeds your anatomic capacity may lead to complications and possibly revision.

Hello,There is no way a surgeon can guarantee/deliver a bra cup size. Either get sized in the office or make rice sizers at home. I think you'll find 520 cc very big, leading to looking heavy in clothing. Best of luck!

In my opinion, 440-520ml implants are too large for you for the size you want to be. If you didn’t try on sizers, I would do that before you commit to the size. Complications happen at a slightly higher rate for implants that are over 400ml or so. Also, if the implant is too large for the amount of skin on your chest, you can get stretch marks, which can increase your risk of sagging in the future. Obviously an in person consult is more reliable, but I would think about an implant closer to 350ml would work for you and limit the risk of complications. Deciding on the right implant size for you is complex.  It is a decision to be made after careful discussion and planning with your surgeon, based on your goals and anatomic features.  From your pictures, it seems that 440cc would be closer to the result that you are going for.  Just make sure that you choose a surgeon that listens carefully to what your desired result is, and I feel confident that you will get the look that you want.  Best of luck.

You are a great candidate for a breast augmentation.  440cc will likely be closer to your goal than 520cc. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality.  This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.
