I am 1 week post op of primary breast aug. 345cc/365cc high cohesive gel moderate profile L/R. Was in a lot of discomfort post op, a lot of swelling to sternum. Next day, was told I am very tight, first I’d heard that from surgeon. I specified that 350cc was too big when I tried sizers at preop. Insignificant comfort change since day 1 or 2 post op and a lot of tenderness to touch throughout ribs and sternum. Could implants that are too big be reason for continued discomfort at 1wk post.
Answer: Implant size and position Good afternoon! While you are still very very early in the healing process, if you tried on the sizes and specifically to your PS that you did not feel comfortable at 350cc, and then you actually got 345/365cc, then you are correct you are likely not to love your results three months from now. Any answer as to why they went against your wishes?

Answer: Are My Implants too Big? #breastimplants #breastaugmentation It is much too early, just one week after your breast augmentation, to see anything that resembles what your final outcome will look like. I predict that you will likely be very happy with the size and your final breast appearance, but it will take MONTHS for your implants to stretch out your breast skin and settle into place. Until then, try to be patient because you'll likely look great! Most of my breast augmentation patients are very "tight" because they are starting out with hardly any breast tissue/limited skin envelope. So, that is expected. With time your swelling will subside, your breast shape will change considerably, and you'll look awesome! So hang in there. Thanks for sharing!

Answer: BA results Dear hfec, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 7 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Answer: When sizing, what sizer did you like? Not liking a 350 cc sizer translates to not wanting a 390+ implant. You are smaller than that and from your photos, there is nothing alarming on how you look. The implants definitely are not 'too big' for your frame and as they soften and settle, I think you should have a great outcome. Patient discomfort is very unique to every person and never the same so you cannot compare your recovery to that of someone else. Plus, technique used at surgery also makes a big difference in how much discomfort you will have so every recovery is a unique one too. Let your surgeon know of your concerns and let your surgeon do any worrying if you do have concerns about how you are healing... after all, your surgeon should want the best outcome for you since you are a direct reflection of what kind of work he/she does.

Answer: One week post-op I would not be too concerned at one week if you feel your implants are too big. All implants will look overly large during the first few weeks of surgery while you are the most swollen. Even with small implants being placed, your body will tend to react by swelling the breasts as much as possible. This is why a bra or wrap is usually recommended to help reduce the swelling. Your tenderness should improve as the skin tension relaxes as you heal. You will look and feel better week by week and it is something you should look forward to. Hope this helps!Johnson C.
