It has been 7 weeks and 4 days after my breast augmentation surgery. My right side implant still look like just after the surgery. I worry if there are something wrong cause the implant never dropped. I message it every day and wear bandage when I sleep. Do I need a revision?
Answer: 7 weeks post op breast augmentation. One implant is too high. Do I need a revision? Thank you for sharing your question. At seven weeks your tissues have not sufficiently stretched yet to offer you a glimpse into your final result. Depending on the size of implant relative to your natural breast tissue it may take some patients longer to fully heal than others. I know waiting is difficult but follow your surgeon's advice on recuperation until at least six months at which point a better idea of your outcome will be known. Best wishes.

Answer: 7 weeks post op Thank you for your question. At 7 weeks post op, it would be too early to know if you will need any type of revision. You need to wait 3-6 months to see how everything heals. Be sure to follow all post op instructions from your board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: BA results Dear 123qwr, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Answer: High implant 7 weeks post BA Hello!Have you followed up with your plastic surgeon? It does look like one side may be tighter. There are other modalities beyond massage that might help - bra band, Singulair medication. It would be best to get some advice from your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: One implant much higher than the other at 7 weeks post-op. My personal opinion is that your breast appearance should be close to the final look at about 6 weeks. By that time the body's immune system and healing stages have established the scar tissue that forms around the implant, fixing the position of the implant. Usually breasts are quite soft and the position is quite symmetrical by 6 weeks, although pre-op asymmetry may affect this as well. Please speak with your Plastic Surgeon about your concerns, as there may still be options other than additional surgery to correct an implant's position.
