Can I get a mommy makeover and arm lift at the same time?

Hi I'm an almost 32yr old woman looking to do a mommy make over, I was wondering if getting an arm lift at the same time is ok? My arms are a huge issue for me and I've been wanting to make a change I didn't know if doing all of these procedures at once was advised or ahold they be done separately? Thanks in advance for all the help.

I wouldn’t combine those procedures. That is not a Mommy Makeover, an artificial cage term. The most commonly associated procedures are Breast augmentation or lift, and some combination of Liposuction, Tummy Tuck and BBL. Arm o thigh lift should be reserved for separate procedures. Safety first.

Without seeing you, there’s no way any surgeon can give you a definitive answer. If you are relatively healthy with a good BMI, it shouldn’t be an issue. You are young so you should be able to heal well. Now with that being said, if you are obese or have medical conditions, that could prevent you from having a mommy makeover in one procedure. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.

The mommy makeover is a combination of procedures to bring a woman’s body back to the way she looked prior to pregnancy. Most commonly, some variation of a Tummy Tuck and Breast Surgery are performed. Additional procedures can include liposuction, umbilical hernia repair, arm lift, BBL. If your board certified plastic surgeon is an expert at all procedures you desire and can complete the combination in less than six hours, you should have a safe surgery.

These may  include Tummy tuck, Breast augmentation and/or lift as well as liposuction to give you the youthful body you are looking for. Some need more extensive work while others need less. The most important consideration is your safety.  To help minimize any potential issues, I like to keep any patients operative time under 6 hours.   Since a Mommymaker is a basket term for any combination of: breast lift, breast reduction, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and liposuction, it would need to be determined what procedures would make up your Mommymakeover and how long that would take.   Then it could be determined whether an arm lift could be safely performed at the same time and still finish in under 6 hours.   See a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed consultation.   Best wishes.

This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon and depends only on your health. If it lets the doctor, I dont think there will be a problem. But remember this, safety first. You can get your mommy makeover now and later the arm lift.

Hello! Depending on what other procedures you have planned in your mommy makeover, adding in an arm lift may be feasible. There are quite a few factors, including the type of procedures you are having and your overall health. I like to keep my surgeries to less than 6 hours if possible. With that amount of surgery, I also recommend an overnight stay for monitoring. Good luck and congratulations on your decision to take care of yourself after all the hard work of pregnancy and being a mom!
