What treatment options do I have for fibrosis/ lumps after laser lipo? 4 years post op. (photos)

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately you have developed fibrotic tissue resulting in an uneven en surface. However, your abdomen , I would imagine is flatter now than before the surgery and you have an hourglass figure. In order to get closer to perfect results, I would suggest that you discuss fat grafting with your surgeon. Also, I would like to question whether or not you have tried Vanquish therapy? Dear patient, after 4 years you can be sure that the lumps and indentations are unfortunately permanent. One thing that happens is that as we get older, and the skin becomes more lax, the dents may actually become more visible. I perform a combination treatment with skin tightening (Ultherapy or Thermage) and fat grafting to reduce these irregularities. Fat is harvested from the love handles or thigh areas, PRP (Protein Rich Plasma) is added and the dents are filled in. Prior to injecting the fat I break up any adhesions or scar tissue with special instruments.

Thanks for the question, one of the issues that plagues liposuction surgery is over aggressive surgery. All done with good intentions trying to make people as thin as possible, however, we are coming to a period where we are now trying to make people look as "good and natural as possible". For late fibrosis I like to go in and not remove any more fat but perform a liposhift meaning I break up all the fat and spread it around, I am aggressive with post operative compression, massage, radio frequency treatments and perhaps even a few cryo sessions
