I had a hifu laser for fat burning on abdomen, I was pregnant 1-2 weeks, which I found out later, should I be worried about it? Thank you

HIFU procedures are designed to only target the layer of fat that needs to be eliminated. There are no studies done on pregnant women but, the procedure should not harm the organs under the layer of muscle so i don't think there is a need to worry about your pregnancy. However, please mention and discuss the HIFU procedure with your OB/GYN to get his or her opinion.

The HIFU treatment doesn't penetrate deep enough to negatively impact your pregnancy. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your OB/GYN. Best, Dr. Emer

Congratulations on your pregnancy! This treatment targets the ultrasound energy on the fat layer of your abdomen. It would not be deep enough to cause any damage to organs below the muscle layer, including your uterus containing the early pregnancy.
