HIFU procedures are designed to only target the layer of fat that needs to be eliminated. There are no studies done on pregnant women but, the procedure should not harm the organs under the layer of muscle so i don't think there is a need to worry about your pregnancy. However, please mention and discuss the HIFU procedure with your OB/GYN to get his or her opinion.
The HIFU treatment doesn't penetrate deep enough to negatively impact your pregnancy. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your OB/GYN. Best, Dr. Emer
Congratulations on your pregnancy! This treatment targets the ultrasound energy on the fat layer of your abdomen. It would not be deep enough to cause any damage to organs below the muscle layer, including your uterus containing the early pregnancy. I would let your OB know about the treatment but do not worry- your baby will be fine! Best wishes, Mary Beth Mudd
Hello Meems, if you haven't already decided yet where to go, consider doing Ultraslim as a nonsurgical alternative and also as an alternative to Coolsculpting. Although Coolsculpting is nonsurgical, like liposuction, it kills fat cells, put undue strain on your body. Also fat cells...
Thanks for the question, this is a very unique area and you want to see someone who is comfortable with this area. I perform this with local anesthesia and specialized small curved cannulas to get around corners easily and smoothly. A few other things, I always place these patients on blood...
I think that a formal consultation would be a great approach. Kybella and Coolsculpting or Sculpsure work well for a small amount of fat. Laser liposuction is much more precise and you can actually sculpt the area with confidence. It can also be performed in a single session rather than mu...
The lidocaine will largely be totally gone by 3 days, so it should be fine to do Smartlipo, if you don't breast feed and pump your milk for this time. Otherwise, you can, of course, wait until you finish breast feeding. i would verify the 3 days, with a pharmacists to be absolutely sure re the...
Having the titanium plate won't matter when doing liposuction but avoid laser lipo since it is the cheapest of the lipos now because of complications and less than descent results. (although some docs can do a decent job with laser lipo, it is not the norm).
Lipo-LIght basically works by using laser light to make some holes in fat cells to allow some of the stored fat to come out, thereby shrinking the fat cell. However the holes eventually close up so the effect is temporary. As soon as you eat more calories than you burn up, the fat cells will...
