Years of smoking and alcohol have made me look like I'm in my thirties
Answer: Recommend doing resurfacing laser treatments along with chemical peels to help rejuvenate the skin. Pair with melarase creams Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Nonsurgical rejuvenation can be a great option in your 20s. Age 27 is pretty young to be considering facial surgery due to aging, especially since the main reasons for a facelift and other surgeries, like skin laxity or loss of muscle tightness, really aren’t that prevalent yet. Although it’s hard to say for sure without reference photos, my guess is that there are several nonsurgical options that could help you look more refreshed and rejuvenated. BOTOX® can smooth out existing dynamic wrinkles and even help prevent new ones from forming, while dermal fillers add volume to diminish deeper lines. Resurfacing treatments can even skin tone and help your skin look more glowing and luminous. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a cosmetic surgeon to see what your best options are.

Answer: Damaged Skin Surgery is reserved for people that have excess skin. Without pics I can not make any definitive statement, but in general I would recommend the following:(1) stop smoking (2) good skin care regimen to maintain (cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen) (3) a good medium depth peel. This would be a good start but I would see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon (who has an interest in skin care) in you area for a custom tailored plan.
