Hi there, I'm having my breast augmentation soon and needed some input. I'm 5'4 and I weigh 106 my chest size 10.5-11. I'm currently a 34A. I'm petite. My surgeon suggests 240 CCs. I'm wanting 275ccs round silicone implant I'm worried if they won't look natural or too big for my body but at the same time why would I go thru the surgery if it's not gonna make a difference
Answer: Implant volume and cup size At size 34 A each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 240 cc implants would take you up 2 ½ cup sizes to a large C, small D. Since you are petite, one of the problems with larger implants is that they may extrude inferiorly and laterally. I always recommend small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral since they look and feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or have complications needing revision. Implant profile is irrelevant in the retro-pectoral position since the muscle compresses it. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Choosing breast implant sizes for a natural look In general smaller tends to look more natural. A larger implant will have more roundness overall. When determining a breast implant size I have patients try on sizers in the office. After they select the size that they like, I adjust the final implant size based on their tissue characteristics and their goals with surgery. I tell everyone you can still use clothing to accentuate your look when you want to so you don't have to have a real full look every waking moment. On the flip side, everyone gets accustomed to their new size after surgery and what seemed to be big initially won't seem so big a few months later. Take your time in deciding and certainly discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Natural breast implants The difference between 240cc and 275cc is very minimal. You won't regret going for the larger one of these 2, especially as we are dealing with such small volumes. If you want a "natural" look, then I would recommend an anatomical implant over a round implant. I hope this helps.

Answer: It all comes down to trust. If you've had a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that you trust, then together you two should have a good idea of the appropriate procedure and implant volume that will give you your best result. No one on this forum can give you a better recommendation without photos (and better yet an actual examination and consultation) than you've gotten thus far.If you're don't trust the surgeon you've seen, then I'd advise a second opinion.Best of luck!

Answer: Breast augmentation for woman with A cup breasts The number of cc's in a breast implant is, of course a very important choice. The shape, placement and position of the implant are also important , especially when a woman desires a natural result. A shaped form stable breast implant can give the patient the lowest risk of fold and ripples in the lower pole, the lowest risk of a visible transition between natural breast tissue and implant (sometime referred to as a double bubble) and the lowest risk of breast implant malposition with the breasts bottoming out. I think there is a performance difference between form stable breast implants. Consult with plastic surgeon who has experience and expertise perfuming this particular procedure.
