Hi there, I'm having my breast augmentation soon and needed some input. I'm 5'4 and I weigh 106 my chest size 10.5-11. I'm currently a 34A. I'm petite. My surgeon suggests 240 CCs. I'm wanting 275ccs round silicone implant I'm worried if they won't look natural or too big for my body but at the same time why would I go thru the surgery if it's not gonna make a difference
Answer: Implant volume and cup size At size 34 A each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 240 cc implants would take you up 2 ½ cup sizes to a large C, small D. Since you are petite, one of the problems with larger implants is that they may extrude inferiorly and laterally. I always recommend small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral since they look and feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or have complications needing revision. Implant profile is irrelevant in the retro-pectoral position since the muscle compresses it. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Choosing breast implant sizes for a natural look In general smaller tends to look more natural. A larger implant will have more roundness overall. When determining a breast implant size I have patients try on sizers in the office. After they select the size that they like, I adjust the final implant size based on their tissue characteristics and their goals with surgery. I tell everyone you can still use clothing to accentuate your look when you want to so you don't have to have a real full look every waking moment. On the flip side, everyone gets accustomed to their new size after surgery and what seemed to be big initially won't seem so big a few months later. Take your time in deciding and certainly discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: There is very little difference between a 250 cc and a 275 cc breast implant Thank you for your question. Today 250 cc or 275 cc breast implants are not considered excessively large and it is unlikely that they will make you've look to big. The difference between 250 cc in the 2 75 cc will not be very noticeable. Please consult to plastic surgeon in detail and specifically discuss your size goals and hopefully your surgeon will have a breast implant sizing system to help you decide. You can also do the Rice test which is described in the link below.

Answer: Natural breast implants The difference between 240cc and 275cc is very minimal. You won't regret going for the larger one of these 2, especially as we are dealing with such small volumes. If you want a "natural" look, then I would recommend an anatomical implant over a round implant. I hope this helps.

Answer: It all comes down to trust. If you've had a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that you trust, then together you two should have a good idea of the appropriate procedure and implant volume that will give you your best result. No one on this forum can give you a better recommendation without photos (and better yet an actual examination and consultation) than you've gotten thus far.If you're don't trust the surgeon you've seen, then I'd advise a second opinion.Best of luck!
