Breast augmenation wound not healing properly, seroma, abscess suture then what? (photo)

Question

Breast augmentation 7 weeks post op. left breast was leaking seroma from a pin hole in incision. After leakage stopped I had suture abscess, doctor removed a peace of suture that was poking out. Right breast is bit reddish but no complications.

Thank you for your photos and inquiry.  Make sure to stay in close contact with your plastic surgeon. When you have issues that are unusual, it is always best to keep them in the loop with any changes or new concerns.  Don't want to let something small turn in to a more complicated issue if not addresssed right away.

Having trouble like this with a breast augmentation is very rare.  it is more common in smokers or patients which are not eating enough protein.  I would make sure you are following your PS directions closely and if you have worsening redness or discharge make sure they know about it.  Good luck.
