A peel should only be administered by a trained skin professional, preferably a Dermal Therapist. The skin needs to be thoroughly assessed and correct home skin-care used prior to the peel to avoid any adverse reactions. The strength and type of peel should be chosen according to the client’s skin type, skin preparation and goals. The length of time that the peel is left on for will be determined on an individual basis by your treating Dermal Therapist. In general, it is best to start with a mild peel and gradually work towards a stronger peel as prescribed by your Dermal Therapist.
