Question

If I bend forward or lay on my front (seeing physio for shoulder issue) my right implant moves into the position shown in the picture and I have to mould it back into shape. I have said from very early on that it feels as though there is too much movement and perhaps a position issue but surgeon seems to think I may have CC. A second opinion disagreed with the possibility of CC and I am awaiting a private MRI (at my cost) but I wondered if anyone has any thoughts as to what might be the cause.

Thank you for your question. The thing that I am concerned about but will show up with an MRI is if the implant has moved around as it is an anatomic implant. Try to do your MRI with the odd shape and that should give you the answer.  Good luck.

I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction.  The most likely problem is that the anatomic or shaped breast implant has flipped and is laying crosswise as opposed to vertically in the implant pocket.  The MRI will document this.  It is very unlikely that you have a capsular contracture.

It appears that your anatomic implant has shifted or flipped, which can be a problem with this type of implant. This should show up on an MRI, or even a much less expensive lateral chest X-ray. Unless you are also experiencing firmness and/or pain I also doubt capsular contracture is the problem.
